REVIEW: Chevys Fresh Mex Roseville Ca

Last month I had the honor of hosting a Bachelorette Party for my sister who was renewing her vows after 12 years of marriage. You see, in my family (us 3 kids anyway) we never do anything the right way the first time. (Our firstborns would disagree with this however) So I planned this awesome night that included dinner drinks and debauchery, and our local Roseville Chevys did not disappoint us!

The Staff: The host was an amazing guy who was so sweet & on top of his game. He catered to us all night, always kept a smile on his face, and was so accommodating that he made all of us want to hug him! The other hosts and hostesses did a great job as well helping him out with all of us & were very friendly and courteous.

The Food: Now call me crazy but when i think Fresh Mex i dont necessarily think seafood or 4 stars. This Chevys blew my mind with their quality of food. I ordered some sort of seafood enchilada and it was TO DIE FOR! It came with a creamy verde sauce that went exceptionally well with the shrimp and crab.

The Drinks: If you ever find yourself at Chevys & you are of age, please make sure you order a Pina Colada because BAM!!! Its the best pina colada ive ever tasted, and Ive had ALOT of pina colada's. We also tried their shamrock margarita and that was pretty good too.

What more can I say? Chevys Fresh Mex in Roseville , CA helped make the night special and fun.

Rimmel London: Extra WOW Lash

Are you looking for an amazing mascara?
You found it!
Yes its no secret that Rimmel London is my go-to brand for excellence but heres something you may not know....I hate mascara! Not in the "Oh i wish id never met you" kind of way. No. More in the "Why was i born with such minimal lashes that not even the best, most expensive mascaras make my lashes look any better?"

Now im going to be completely honest here, like i always am.

This mascara did not make miracles happen but it did in fact, help my eyes look wider & lashes longer!
Another great find at Walmart for $5. Yes! $5! The mascara itself is a great consistency, not too thick , not too thin. It spreads really easily and I just want to point out that it seems to spread more evenly then other mascaras by Rimmel & alike. Which ofcourse is important to me & im sure to all of you makeup/beauty obsessed as well.
So yes i would definitely recommend this. Now if you have virtually no lashes this may not be the best mascara for you but it is worth a try. With the price at least you wouldnt be investing much for a trial and error.

Rimmel London: Scandaleyes Longlasting Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner

Rimmel London has done it again!
I have somewhat of a love/hate relationship with Rimmel. I love them because I have yet to try a product by them that doesnt live up to the hype, and I hate them because I can drop a ton of money on their products and still want more.

This new scandaleyes eyeliner did not disappoint. First off the price is great at just $5.98 at Walmart.

It is very creamy and glides on extremely easy. That may just be its only downfall as well, it was so easy to glide that it wound up going down onto my lower lid which i wasnt trying to do.

It was definitely longlasting. It stayed fresh looking for about 9 hours and then as it looked more worn stayed on for another 5 hours until I washed it off. I sprayed my face with a squirt bottle on mist and it did live up to its waterproof status.

I think what i liked most of about this eyeliner is that it is so much better than the other eyeliners in this budget. Not to say that the others arent great, but this one...its awesome!

All in all Id say this product is a wise investment & Im personally going to stock my supply with it. Ill be adding this review to my makeup board on Pinterest so if you dont follow me already, be sure to do so! Coffee & Kahlua on Pinterest

Angels Yam CakeBake

Happy 7th Birthday to the baby of the bunch! My Angel girl (that's her nick and middle name) turned 7 today and being low on funds and energy I decided to do a cake that was as unique as my youngest child. And man, this is some unique stuff I'm about to share! I can almost guarantee that this probably has never been done before (my twisted little mind is a plethora of unique) and while it may sound as odd as a duck wearing a raincoat, I can assure you it tastes FANTASTIC!

1 can Princella Yams
1/2 Bag of Angel Food Cake
Molasses
Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
4 tbs Butter/Margarine
2 tsps Flour or Corn starch
Preheat oven to 350°
In cake pan empty can of yams & distribute evenly across pan (mostly drained)
Drizzle molasses and condensed milk over yams until all of them have a drizzle.
Combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon , and flour until creamy smooth and then spread over yams.
Place in oven and bake for 10 min. Take pan out and fold angel food cake mix into yams. Place in oven again and bake until mix rises and is golden brown.

Please excuse the angel food white mess around the pan , i am not known for my neatness.
